Artist Note
Healing is about allowing energy that got stuck to move again. The first painting holds the truth of that inner struggle: the tension, the performance of being fine, the effort to hold everything together, all while feeling disconnected from our vitality. The second painting is what happens when the body is given the space to feel, soften, and flow again.
Peter Levine writes of healing as, “Our emotions begin to lift us up rather than bring us down… We become more in tune with the passionate and ecstatic dimensions of life.” That’s what this work is about: reclaiming our vitality and our sense of safety.
May these pieces remind you that your body carries an ancient wisdom. Even in the tightest knots, the river of life is still there, waiting for its moment to flow freely again.
