Artist Note
When Nipsey Hussle was killed, the grief that hit me was intense. I was already a fan of his music, but I realized I was also a fan of much more than that: his mindset in interviews and his love for his community were deeply inspiring for me.
Painting this became my way of grieving, and honoring his impact.
It also felt like an acknowledgment that the light he carried didn’t disappear, it moved through people. It sparked vision, healing, and action. I hope this piece continues that ripple in its own way.
